House Breaking Pitbull Puppies

House breaking new pitbull puppies is probably one of the least fun aspects of owning a new puppy. No one likes cleaning up accidents in the house, or coming home and smelling that wonderful aroma as soon as you walk in the door. Unfortunately there is no set time frame as to when your puppy will be house broken. House breaking pitbull puppies as with any puppy will require a lot of effort and patience on your part.

One of the most important things to remember when house breaking new pitbull puppies is to never punish them for accident, as this can lead to even more serious problems like submissive urination. Submissive urination occurs as a result of your puppy feeling scared or intimidated.

House breaking is about Routine! Routine! and more Routine! One thing that is important is that you feed your puppy the same amount of food at the same time everyday. Also try to avoid giving him extra snacks and treats until he is successfully housebroken.

As I said before it is all about setting up a daily routine with your new puppy and sticking to it until they are house broken. You need to be consistent and take your puppy out at the same time everyday, or if you are not able to do this then you need to make prior arrangements with that someone else can. Doing this one simple thing will help your puppy to learn faster what is expected of him.

Also when you put your puppy outside to go to the bathroom try and be with them while they are out there. That way you can be sure that they are doing their business and not just out there playing or digging in the dirt. This will help to cut down on accidents inside due to lack of going outside. If for some reason you are unable to go out with your puppy while he is being house broken, you should confine your puppy to one area such as a fenced in backyard, so that he can learn this is his space to go to the bathroom.

Remember to just be patient, take things as they come without punishing your puppy, and before you know it all the messes and the whole house breaking process will be little more than a distant memory.
