Original owners paid over $2000  She's a great dog but akitas are not the best dog for people who are unfamiliar with working with dogs. Akitas are very independent minded and require a competent handler.  Akitas also tend to be aggressive to other dogs and other animals and they have a high territorial and predatory drive.  She would make the perfect dog for someone who does not have other dogs or cats.  There are other dogs where I live so I frequently use a muzzle on her and she is crate trained.  She can get along with other dogs but it's not something I would totally trust. She's bigger than most dogs and has all her vaccinations
